Commissioner Brenda L. Watson, (center) was elected and began serving as Secretary of the Board of Perry County Commissioners on January 6th, 2020. Brenda comes to this Office with 32 years of owning and operating a local Surveying and Engineering Firm. She pledges to work as a team and do what it takes for the betterment of Perry County. She will serve on the following boards: CPEC-Central Pennsylvania Energy Consortium, SEDA COG-Susquehanna Economic Development Association-Council of Government, WIB-Workforce Investment Board, CREDC, PCEDC-Perry County Economic Development Corporation, PCEDA-Perry County Economic Development Authority, PCPC-Perry County Planning Commission, Tri-County Regional Planning Commission. Along with fellow Commissioners they will serve together on the Election Board, Prison Board, Salary Board, Retirement Board, and Board of Assessment Appeals..
Commissioner Gary R. Eby, (right) was elected and began serving as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Perry County Commissioners on January 6, 2020. He previously served the citizens of Perry County as the department head of the Transportation Department (PCTA) from 1996 thru 2012. A veteran of the armed forces, Commissioner Eby and his wife Polly are life-long residents of the County and active in many local organizations. He is proud to serve the citizens of Perry County as we embark on our third century this year. Further, he has an extensive and varied background working within the County of Perry in tourism, agriculture and construction industries.
Commissioner Eby’s goal is to seek progress by building on quality, established ground work to move forward in developing economic growth through smart planning and management. He is also a proponent of shoring up emergency medical services in Perry County. During 2020, Commissioner Eby will serve on the board, or as liaison to the following: MH/IDD; Family Center; Children and Youth; Transportation; Housing Authority; Emergency Management; Area Agency on Aging; Soil Conservation and H.A.T.S. Coordinating and Technical Committee. Along with fellow Commissioners, they will serve together on the Election Board, Salary Board, and Retirement Board.
