ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION at
PERRY COUNTY COURTHOUSE
The work involves two prime contracts:
· Contract #1 – Elevator; includes modernization of existing elevator including demolition, new machine and controller, cab upgrades, associated wiring and related work.
· Contract #2 – Fire Alarm; new devices and relocation of existing devices, wiring, interconnections to elevator, system programming, and testing.
Sealed bids must be received by 4:00 pm on August 28, 2020. All bids must be mailed to P.O. Box 37, New Bloomfield PA 17068 or delivered to 25 W. Main Street, New Bloomfield PA 17068.
Bids will be received and opened at the County’s Veteran’s Memorial Building in the Commissioners’ Office at 25 West Main Street. Bids will be publicly opened at 10:00 am on August 31, 2020.
Bid Security shall accompany each Bid submitted, in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond executed by an acceptable Surety Company. Bid Security shall be in the amount of 10% of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond.
Complete sets of Bid Documents will be available on or after August 3, 2020. Interested bidders should contact the Commissioners Office (tel. 717-582-5110) for instructions on to how to receive the bid documents.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00pm on August 17, 2020 at the project site, Perry County Courthouse, 2 E. Main Street, New Bloomfield PA (enter at side entrance on N. Carlisle Street). Potential bidders must attend this meeting in order to submit a bid for the project. Bidders shall comply with any Covid-19 requirements in effect at the building at the time of the pre-bid meeting.
All questions are to be submitted in writing to Strunk-Albert Engineering to firstname.lastname@example.org. All questions must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 21, 2020. The final addendum will be issued on or before 1:00 p.m. on August 24, 2020.
The Perry County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, as well as the right to waive all informalities in awarding Contracts in the best interests of the County.
