Tire War

Greetings from the Conservation District,

I wanted to let you know about our upcoming Keep Perry County Beautiful event 'Tire War' that will be happening at the Loysville Community Center on Saturday, September 14th from 8am-12pm. Please feel free to share the attached flyer below with family, friends, and neighbors. If you would like to sign up as a volunteer, please let me know.
The ultimate goal of the Tire War is to encourage residents to gather up old tires and bring them in for proper disposal. Keeping tires out of forests, fields, and off of roadsides prevents them from becoming mosquito breeding grounds, a source of pollution, and helps to keep Perry County a clean and beautiful place to live and work. 100% of the collected tires will be hauled to and recycled by Mahantango Enterprises of Liverpool, PA. This recycled rubber will later be used for track surfaces, roadway construction, and rubber mulch.

Thank you & have a great day,
