Summary of Job Description

Perry County is accepting applications for a part time administrative clerk for the Perry County Transportation Authority.  High School graduate or GED certificate, must have a valid drivers license.  Must be personable, able to multi-task, and operate multi line telephone. Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to the Transportation Office
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed and exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required or assigned.
• Files, Types and Photocopies.
• Compile statistics.
• Deals with clients on a daily basis.
• Drives vehicles when necessary.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
High school graduate with one to two years’ secretarial experience, or any combination of education and experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum Physical and Mental Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
Physical Requirements
• Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including computer terminal, typewriter, photocopier, calculator, and telephone.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and multi-task.
Mathematical Ability
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate decimals and percents.
