The Perry County Tax Claim Bureau collects PRIOR YEAR delinquent County, Municipal and School Real Estate Taxes.
All delinquent taxes are in the collection system as of February 1, interest is added the first of each month. Payments will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. daily. Call (717) 582-2131 ext. 4120 for current balance. Acceptable payment methods are cash, money orders, cashier checks or online with a debit or credit card at the site listed under LINKS, a convenience fee will be applied. NO PERSONAL OR COMPANY CHECKS. Current year taxes will be paid to the local tax collector or bank if paying school real estate taxes. Unpaid County/Municipal per Capita Tax Bills will be turned over for collection on January 1st to J.P. Harris Associates, LLC.

On July 1, of the second year after the original tax bill was issued by the local tax collector, if still unpaid, the property will become eligible for Upset Tax Sale in September of the second delinquent year. The owner will receive notice, the property will be posted and advertised in the Perry County Times, The News-Sun and the Duncannon Record in July. The property will be subject to the additional costs associated with sale proceedings. Payment in full or entering into a payment agreement will stay the sale. Payment agreements can be made with 25% of the total amount due as down-payment, contact the office for further information.
