The Elections and Voter Registration Office is responsible for registering residents of Perry County to vote, and maintaining accurate voter registration records, according to Pennsylvania law. The responsibilities of this office include necessary preparation for all elections including: ballots, maintaining individual voting records, election supplies, training for elected Election Officials, and supervision of the official count of votes cast. The Perry County Board of Elections certifies the election returns.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO PRE-CANVASS MAIL-IN/ABSENTEE BALLOTS FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION OF APRIL 23, 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Perry County Board of Elections intends to begin Pre-Canvass of all mail in and absentee ballots at 7:00 am prevailing time on April 23, 2024, in the Freedom Building, 15 West Main Street, New Bloomfield PA 17068.   Ballot envelopes will be opened and readied for tabulation on scanners to be tallied after 8:00 pm.  At no time will information from the ballots be discussed or disseminated until the canvass is complete.

The Perry County Board of Elections will publicly commence at 9:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2024, in the Veterans Memorial Building, 25 West Main Street, New Bloomfield PA 17068.  The official computation and canvassing of the returns cast on April 23, 2024 Primary Election and continue the same day until completed.
