Public Notice Controlled Burning

 

 

All Perry County residents are requested to contact the Emergency Management/911 Center prior to lighting a controlled burn on private property that is outside of an enclosed container.

The 911 Center is the single answering point in for municipal police, fire/rescue and emergency medical services.  It operates 24 hours a day and is staffed by 7 full-time and 21 part-time dispatchers.  All county police, fire companies and ambulances are dispatched by radio from this location, utilizing 2 remote tower sites, one on and one on .  This communications center and the remote tower sites are all supported by emergency generators in the event of a major power outage.
